The Power of Anti-Goals

With the New Year upon us, it’s the right time to think about goal-setting. But if you’re like many, you might feel hesitant to follow the same old SMART goal-setting process. You know –make them specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. The process of setting SMART goals can seem a bit overwhelming in itself. What if there were an easier, more effective way to achieve what you want to do without having to think up goals, figure out how to measure them, track them, and watch them fizzle out as the year moves on? Well, there is. It’s not called setting goals, either. It’s called the setting “anti-goals.” Anti-goals , a concept developed by Andrew Wilkinson, are about what you don’t want to happen.
